One strategy. $49 a month. First week free.

Spot buying, made intelligent. Stepgrid buys only when the price comes down to meet it, takes the gain when it recovers, and puts the same money straight back to work — usually within hours. You own the coins outright the whole time — nothing is borrowed, so nothing can be force-sold out from under you.

Return — per month on allocated funds
— since the start
excluding exchange trading fees
Example Binance: 0.15%
Best month +71% January 2021, alt season
Worst crash −17% LUNA crash, May 2022. Simply holding the same coins fell −49%.

A cycle is one or more buys on a coin, sold together at a gain. Three in four sell within a day. Every completed cycle is listed, with the date it opened, the date it sold and what it made →

Not compounded. Profit was taken out each month, not reinvested. Per year at this rate: — with profit taken out, — if reinvested monthly.

Each pair of bars is one stretch of market — bull, alt season, sideways or bear — with today’s rules replayed over it, and holding Bitcoin through the same stretch beside it. It made money in all thirteen. Bitcoin lost in five.

Spot buying, with a twist

People will tell you this is just DCA. It isn’t — and the difference is the whole reason it works.

Ordinary DCAStepgrid

Each buySometimes higher, sometimes lower Always lower than the one before
When it sellsNever. You hold and hope As soon as the average has recovered

That last row is the point: the money comes back on every cycle and goes again, so the return doesn’t depend on a coin going up — only on it coming back. The same capital, used over and over.

It runs a fleet of coins at once, each with its own ladder and its own exit, re-tuned as markets change and retired when they stop paying. That tuning is what the subscription buys — not a setting you copy once.

The risk is a cycle that stalls. If a coin falls and stays down, the ladder runs out of steps and that money waits, earning nothing until the price comes back. It is uncommon — five cycles out of 711 have taken longer than a month — but it is the real cost of this method, and it is why the reserve below matters.

Your money stays ready to buy the dip

On our own book only about a quarter of it is in coins on an average day. The rest is loaded and waiting for the steps further down — the ones that buy the drop everyone else is selling into. That is why the October 2025 crash was a profit for this strategy: 39 cycles sold within six hours of the low, because the funds were there to buy it.

So let the bot do its job. You can change the settings — more steps, wider spacing, bigger size — and it might well make more. It also raises your risk substantially: a deeper ladder commits more of your money at the worst moment and holds it longer. Spending the reserve elsewhere or selling the coins by hand because it looks uncomfortable do the same thing. The figures on this page describe an account that doesn’t interfere. Change them and you are running your own strategy, at your own risk.

What happens in a crash

A sudden crash is usually good for this. A ladder of waiting buy orders is exactly what a violent drop runs into, and the recovery is what it sells into. Replayed against six real episodes with today’s rules, the worst the account was ever worth, how long until it was back to even, and where it stood later — as a share of the money set aside:

Worst dayBack to evenLater
October 2025 flash crash−1.5%3 days +35% today, mostly ZEC (12×). Without ZEC: −3.7% / +0.3%.
February 2025 tariff crash−3.9%5 days +67% today
FTX collapse, November 2022−5.2%13 days +40% by end 2023
June 2022, 3AC and Celsius−6.3%30 days +37% by end 2023
Bear market from November 2025−10.2%212 days +11% today
LUNA crash, May 2022−16.8%305 days +23% by end 2023 — the one that never bounced, our worst case. Simply holding the same coins fell −49%.

That is the worst thing that has happened to this strategy in four years of replayed prices, 2022 – 2026, and it is the number to judge it by — a one-off collapse that never recovered, where holding the same coins on an exchange would have cost you nearly three times as much. The episodes that hurt are not the fast ones. They are the slow slides that never come back.

Why owning the coins matters. Trade with borrowed money and a deep enough drop ends it for you — you are sold out at the bottom and not there for the recovery. Own the coins and nobody can take them off you: the drop is on paper, and you can wait.

Owning them does not protect you from the exchange itself failing — that is what happened to people on FTX, whatever they were trading. Choose your exchange deliberately and do not keep everything in one place.

The truth about costs

A $49 subscription has to pay for itself, and that is only possible above a certain size — At roughly — invested, the strategy is expected to earn about what the subscription costs and nothing more. Below that you are paying us to run a grid that makes less than the fee.

That is the one figure you cannot work out without our numbers, so we publish it with transparency in mind. The calculation is based on the numbers on the top of this page.

The free week proves the plumbing

7 days free trial available on Cornix.

Use it to watch the machinery run: signals arrive, your exchange takes them, the buy orders land at the published prices, and the cycle sells at its target. A week proves all of that — and the track record is there for the returns.

Give it three months. For the strategy to prove it actually works, it needs three months to show how it performs in different market conditions. Remember that in order to make a profit, the market needs to move, also down, not just up.

1 month is a demo — compounding needs runway. $44 a month instead of $49. Start →

Free months

Two ways to earn them. They stack, with no cap:

  • Open an exchange account through our link — one month per exchange.
  • Bring a subscriber — one month free once they have paid for three.

Both are credited automatically. Your referral link is in the bot (send /ref); for an exchange, send the bot /exchange <exchange> <your UID>. The exchanges are listed on How it works.
